Next Steps Academy

Next Steps Academy s an 18–21 year old daily living and vocational program designed to support students who have completed the academic requirements for graduation but continue to need instruction and support to become more independent in their adult lives. Students are placed in the program through the IEP process, with a focus on developing independent living skills, daily living skills, and vocational skills necessary for success beyond school. The program emphasizes real-world learning, community-based experiences, and individualized instruction to help students build confidence, increase independence, and prepare for employment, postsecondary opportunities, and meaningful participation in their communities.
